Free Shuttle!

Here it comes! Free public transportation. Will you still drive? Yes? Why? How successful is the route? How is it supported? Why don't you use it? We have been watching for free shuttles and studying their routes and effective outcomes. It's kind of like a train-spotting hobby, maybe we can call it shuttle-spotting (doesn't that sound like fun!)

Here is a preliminary list of the free shuttles programs in the Bay Area.
Many have wondered whether better public transit could help economic recovery if not the carbon footprint. In any case, free shuttles help make the links, that are sometimes vast, between transit stations. They are a benefit often provided by local government. We are looking for information about their ridership, environmental benefits, and success rate of getting people to ditch their cars... and would appreciate any leads.
