Anaheim Civic Center Area Study

Anaheim’s civic center is integral to its downtown. The Civic Center Plan recommends new urban blocks, mixed-use infill development, as well as improved pedestrian connectivity. The Civic Center block plays a key role in the area due to its central location and its development potential for open space, recreational and community uses. Several concept and feasibility studies were prepared in the formulation of the master plan. The plan included 3-D modeling, test fits for a new buildings (housing, theater, hotel, and recreational facilities), streetscape plans, city hall expansion alternatives, and improvements of existing open spaces and a large parking garage.
