Avondale City Center Specific Plan

This framework and specific plan for a 272-acre site south of Interstate 10 was prepared for the City of Avondale. The goal for this area was to transform into a destination for shopping, restaurants and entertainment, with mixed use development to include hotels, higher density housing, and professional office space in a pedestrian-oriented environment. The new neighborhood includes a network of public greenways and parks to ensure connectivity and water retention throughout the area, as well as small city blocks to support a greater variety of building types and overall walkability. Avondale Boulevard will be transformed into a walkable signature boulevard that integrates landscape and public art.
