North Hollywood Station Guide for Development

The North Hollywood Station Guide for Development summarizes policies and objectives developed from a public outreach process for the 15.5-acre site at the terminus of the Red and Orange Lines in Los Angeles. The site is a part of the Transit Oriented Communities Demonstration Program that was adopted by Joint Development at Metro. The overall vision for the project is a high intensity, iconic transit-oriented development with a mix of uses around the Station that is sensitive to the arts-oriented character of the community. The Guide for Development includes requirements and recommendations to achieve high quality urban design for the public realm and addresses buildings, open space, streetscape, building frontages, public art, mix of uses, and parking. Urban Field Studio is involved throughout the process from developer selection to oversight through completion of the project to ensure adherence to the guidelines.
